Conversation with a son
by Dhimant Parekh
Nadeem F Paracha, a Pakistani journalist, writes this conversation with his son at Dawn:
Satirical of course. But more importantly, brings out the loss of identity which that country certain sections of society in that country appear to be slowly sliding into.

… brings out the loss of identity which that country appears to be slowly sliding into.
Really? Didn’t that piece appear in a Pakistani newspaper? As a piece of humorous fiction?
The truth value of that statement can be enhanced if you change “that country” into “some gullible people in that country” (children *are* gullible, after all) …
If you still stand by that statement, perhaps you could check this out.

Abi>> You are absolutely right and I correct my statement. I didn't exactly mean to refer to the nation as a whole, although the words did.

Dude, NFP doesn’t have any children. And you should check out all of his past stuff, it’s even starker.

anon>> Of course, this is an imaginary conversation. I don't think NFP would have been this calm when the son says he has killed the mother
Will definitely check out other stuff written by him. Any links?

There are some NFP sites out there, but the best one I could find was this, run by some Penny Lane guy or gal. Check it out: http://nadeemfparacha.wordpress.com/
