Received a threat that I would lose my readers if I continued to post stuff like the last one.

Whoa! Now that is scary indeed.
Therefore, we shall from now on cater to the masses.

Once upon a time, there was a Prince. And a Princess.
ABCDEFGHI….
And then they lived happily ever after.

Phew! Now I am really glad that this will ensure my readers keep coming to this blog.
In search of the true essence of life – fiction.
:-)
Evam Indrajit went off really well. I had a blast on stage.
I love the entry of Amal, Vimal, Kamal and Indrajit.
I was a bit disappointed that quite a few people found it to be abstract and vague.
Personally, I love the script.
(If you haven’t yet seen the play, go and watch it on Feb 13th at Ranga Shankara).

Here’s the big announcement – I most probably am gonna be doing another play sometime during the last week of Jan.
Its based on a book by Manjula Padmanabhan. The character is really freaky; I loved it during the reading session.
Alliance is a wonderful place to read plays! Wonderful place for a lot of things, infact.
Rehearsals are gonna start sometime after the 1st of Jan.
Rehearsals are a lot of fun. Way too much fun infact. And so is staying up late in the night in the theatre.
Sets, lights, sounds, midnight tea, posters, tickets….awesome fun.

Attended the last playback theatre session on Sunday. A new group, “Kaapi and Khara Bun”, performed and they were great fun to watch.

I have been doing so much of theatre over the past few weeks, that I’ve completely lost interest in my work. Come to think of it, I have figured that its theatre that gives me complete satisfaction. Its the only thing I would like to do in life. But well, I guess other constraints just weigh down on you.
Next thing on the agenda – I plan to attend a theatre workshop sometime soon. I feel I need to learn to act better.
Comparing Evam Indrajit and The Mousetrap, I think my acting was better in Evam. I was quite pathetic in The Mousetrap; the play pulled through probably because of such a strong script.

Currently am down with some major fever, been at home for 3 days now. Hopefully should recover in the next couple of days.

How are you poet?
:-)

If I was a cigarette box.

I would be lying on a paan-coated shelf of a roadside paanwallah.

Some hotshot guy in his Honda City would drive down; stop at the paanwallah and say, “Kings”.

I would be lifted off from that paan-coated shelf into paan soaked hands and handed over to this hotshot guy.
I would then lie in the dashboard of that car until the car reaches this hotshot pub.
The hotshot guy would enter the hotshot pub and order his vodka.
When the vodka arrives, he would search for his cigarettes and then realise that he has forgotten the cigarette box in the dashboard of his car.
He would then come running to the car…and ultimately I would be lying on a glass table with droplets of vodka all around.

I would be tossed and turned around on that glass table for quite a few hours, until the load that I was carrying inside me, would reduce.
Emptied with all my contents, and feeling hollow within, I would be on the glass table until the waiter begins wiping the table.
I would then find myself in a dustbin that would get emptied the next day on a by lane behind the hotshot pub.
I would be lying on the road and kicked about by people walking on that road.
One grateful youth would kick me into the roadside gutter and I would feel that alas, this is a nice resting place.

And then, it would start raining.
The water would clog the gutter. I would get drenched. Then drowned. Then dissolved.
I would decay and ultimately dissolve, just like that.

If I was a cigarette box that is.
Otherwise, life doesn’t have any analogy with what has been said.
Well, except for certain things like…hmmm…you do end up on a glass table with droplets of vodka; you do end up carrying a load inside you; you do end up feeling hollow within; you do end up getting kicked around; you do end up decaying and dissolving.

Hahaha.
Life, as usual, ladies and gentlemen, rocks.

Very happy after a very long time.
I finally get to act in a good production.
I am performing in this play titled Evam Indrajit and its going to be staged at Ranga Shankara on 18th December, 7:30 pm. :-)
Talk about publicity.
But I am indeed glad about it.
Very very glad.

Weekend was good.
A couple of reading sessions for the play were the best part of this weekend.
Had a night-out at Chilli’s place, and I think we surfed through every TV channel (we possibly tuned into some alien channels as well) with the sole purpose of getting some favourable content.
We also spoke about miscellaneous things. I could get more specific, but then…
Morning coffee was at Sahyadri and it was good.

I also got Linux installed on my machine. I had to open the doors to open-source someday.
After all, we can’t thrive on windows throughout our lives, can we?
I have bolded the two words to bring to your notice the much-intended pun.
Hahahaha.

Cristiano Junior died on a soccer field during a match. He got hit by the goalkeeper of Mohan Bagan.
Cristiano Junior used to play for Dempo.
Life is too unpredictable. Or is it that death is too unpredictable?
I think even if one of the two is unpredictable, the other becomes unpredictable as well.

Miss Peru became Miss World 2004.
How does that matter to anyone?
Well, 5 years down the lane, in some quiz conducted on a hot-shot channel, the quiz master shall ask this question to a bunch of quizzers.
Some over-enthusiastic participant shall press the buzzer too soon. And then when asked for the answer, he would cover his face with his hands and say “Oh!”. (In short, he forgot the answer)
The quiz show would move on.
The quizmaster would then say, “Miss Peru became Miss World in the year 2004. Your team gets minus five points.”
The other team would give hi-fives to each other.

Tickets for the play are prized at Rs. 49 each. Watch this play since its by far one of the best I have seen.

Come
As you are
As you were
As I want you to be
As a friend
As a friend
As a known memory
Take your time
Hurry up
